I developed the “Reaching Across Cultures” eLearning course for Gift of Life Institute to equip learners with essential skills to navigate cultural nuances when it comes to organ and tissue donation among diverse populations. By bringing together evidence-based research, real-world case studies, and scenario-based assessments, the course delves into the link between culture and donation and uncovers the influence of implicit bias and trauma-informed approaches on donation conversations.
I created the course primarily in Rise 360. I also developed several interactive elements in Articulate Storyline, including a cumulative scenario-based assessment and drag and drop activity. I worked closely with SMEs and culled data from a wide range of academic sources to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of course content.
The screenshots above are taken from a cumulative scenario-based assessment, in which learners must broach the topic of organ and tissue donation with three families from diverse backgrounds.
